January 18, 2018 - Short Rubber Session

 

January 18, 2018: I had some time to seal in rubber.  I think the wife went to Houston with her sister and family.  These trips to the Asian stores last over ten hours.  They go shopping and I go rubbering; seems I get the best part of the deal.  Getting sealed in took just under one hour.  I am getting very efficient with dressing in one Hydroglove suit, the Catfish suit and the bungee cords.  Set timer to seven hours and figure plenty of time to clean up afterward.

Little did I know at the time that this would be my only chance to seal in rubber until the next year.  My life had a major change in May, when my medical issues with the left leg culminated with a below knee amputation of the leg.  By August the stump healed enough to fit me with a prosthetic leg.  I was in rehab until late December, building strength in the remains of the left leg, strengthening the right leg, and learning to walk again.

By February 2019, I was not only ready to rubberize, I really needed to rubberize!
